US Drugstore Haul (ft NYX,Wet n Wild, Maybelline, L'Oreal, Revlon)

Hey Lovelies, today I have a Drugstore Haul for you! I went to CVS and Target when I was in Florida. Target was where I picked up most of the products in this haul. If you haven't seen my previous Florida hauls you can check them out here - Sephora Haul Part 1, Sephora Haul Part 2, Ulta Haul.
US drugstore haul
Top - 'Nude Peach', bottom - 'Beige'
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss 'Nude Peach' 'Beige' - I picked up two NYX glosses, one in a peachy shade  and the other a mauve pink. They have a nice smooth texture, not sticky which is nice and they smell like some kind of sweet, I'm not sure how to describe it but I like the scent. Both shades are quite pigmented for a gloss and give a nice sheen to the lips.

Left to right, Maybelline Vivid - 'Vibrant Mandarin', NYX Lipstick - 'Haute Melon', Wet n Wild Lipstick - 'Just Peachy', Maybelline Colour Whisper - 'Pin Up Peach', 'Coral Ambition'

Maybelline Vivid Lipstick 'Vibrant Mandarin' - This shade is a vibrant coral shade, it is has good pigmentation and the texture feels smooth to apply and gives a subtle sheen. I'm not sure about how long it lasts on the lips as I have only swatched this lipstick but I like the pigmentation and the shade so far!

NYX Lipstick 'Haute-Melon' - I wanted to try some NYX lipsticks, particuarly the Black Label Lipsticks but Target only had the round ones so I picked one up in the shade 'Haute-Melon' which is a bright orangey coral. It is similar to the Maybelline Vivid lipstick but this one is more of a orange coral than pink. The texture is smooth and it is very pigmented! Very impressive for such an inexpensive lipstick.

Wet n Wild lipstick 'Just Peachy' - This is a peachy nude shade, it has a matte finish but isn't too drying.

Maybelline Colour Whisper 'Coral Ambition' 'Pin Up Peach' - These were on my list of things to try, I don't think you can get them in the UK at the moment but they are similar to the Revlon Lip Butters. I really like the Revlon Lip Butters but I think I may like these more! They are moisturising on the lips and are quite pigmented, not as much as a lipstick though. The main thing I like best is the shades, 'Coral Ambition' is a gorgous light peachy pink and 'Pin up peach' is a darker peachy pink.

NYX Blush 'Terra Cotta' - This blush is a peachy golden shade with gold shimmer, the shimmer isn't too much and gives more of a glow rather than looking too shimmery on the cheeks. It is easy to apply not overly pigmented so you don't have to worry about applying too much and it's easily blendable. I really want to get some more shades! Also did you know NYX are now stocked in some Next stores in the UK!

Left to right, 'Iced Latte', 'Bronzed Taupe', 'Amber Rush'
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow 'Amber Rush' 'Iced Latte' 'Bronzed Taupe' - I have never tried these eyeshadows before but have heard good things so I wanted ot pick up a few shades! I also heard these are similar to the Giorgio Armani eyes to kill eyeshadows, which I don't know if that's true but I believe L'Oreal do own Giorgio Armani. You can get these in the UK but I don't think you can get all the shades, I'm pretty sure you can't get 'Amber Rush' in the UK. These eyeshadows are basically pressed pigments, they have a lid inside that presses the product down. They are pigmented and blend easily, I haven't had any fall out with any of the shades so far. 'Bronzed Taupe' is as the name suggest a taupe bronze shade with shimmer, 'Iced Latte' is a creamy gold shade with shimmer and 'Amber Rush' is a rose gold shade with shimmer.

L'Oreal True Match Crayon Concealer 'medium/deep' 'fair/light' - I haven't tried these yet but I got these in a light shade and a dark shade as I thought the crayon shape would be nice to use for contour and highlight. They feel creamy when swatched and seem to blend easily.

NYX Jumbo Pencil 'Milk' - I have wanted this Jumbo Pencil for a while, I picked up another shade in 'Cashmere' which I showed in my last post, but the shade 'Milk' is just a white shade that I thought would be good as a base under any eyeshadow look especially if you want to make a eyeshadow more intense.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara - I haven't tried this yet either. I like the packaging and the packaging it is supposed to be good for your lashes and help them grow. I'll let you know what I think of it once I've tried it out.

So thats all the drugstore bits I picked up, I know my blog has been a lot of hauls lately and I hope you don't mind! I love seeing other peoples hauls as I guess I'm nosey and like to see what they bought haha! I have a MAC haul left and thats it for a while! Make sure you let me know if there is anything you would like to see a review on? Or if you have tried any of these products, what do you think?

Ulta Haul! ft NYX, Urban Decay, Maybelline, Kardashian Beauty

So this is the 3rd part of my Florida haul, today I am going to be showing you everything I picked up in Ulta! If you have missed my previous Sephora hauls you can read them here and here.
Ulta Haul
Macadamia Oil Conditioning Treatment - Whilst looking at all the haircare bits, I saw this small sample of macadamia deep repair mask, I haven't tried any Macadamia haircare products before and the Conditioning Mask is expensive so I picked up a small size to try out. I haven't tried this yet but I've heard some good things about this haircare line.

NYX butter gloss in 'Vanilla Cream Pie', 'Maple Blondie', 'Cherry Cheesecake', 'Apple Strudle', 'Peaches and Cream' -  I really wanted to get my hands on these so when I saw them I went a little wild and picked up most of the shades they had! They are nice buttery glosses, not sticky with a decent amount of colour to them and they smell divine! I will do a separate post on these with a more detailed review and swatches!
NYX Butter Gloss

Urban Decay 'All Nighter' Make-Up Setting Spray - I have heard lots of good things about Urban decays setting sprays. They do a few different types but I picked up the 'All Nighter' which is meant to make your make-up last up to 16 hours. I tried it when I was on holiday and I think it made my make-up last longer but I will have to try it more to really see how it does!
Kardashian Beauty Joystick
Kardashian Beauty En-Joystick 'Sea Coral' - I wasn't really interested in the Kardashian Beauty line, but when I saw the 'Joystick' in 'Sea Coral' I thought I would give it a try and I'm really impressed! The shade is a nice coral, it is a matte lipstick but not drying and the crayon shape makes it very easy to apply.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil 'Cashmere' -  I haven't tried this yet, but I did swatch it on my hand and it is nice and creamy. You can use this as a base or on it's own as a cream eyeshadow, the shade cashmere is a gorgeous golden shade.

Maybelline Baby Lips 'Peach Kiss' - I picked one of the Maybelline baby lips up on my last visit to the US and while I don't get the hype around them, I do think they are nice. They are moisturising with a hint of colour to them. I got the shade 'Peach Kiss' which is a nude peach shade.

Thats everythingI got in Ulta, as I have said before in my previous posts, I will be reviewing most of these products in more detail soon so do let me know if there is anything you would like to see? Let me know if you have tried any of these products? what do you think?

Sephora Haul: Part 2!

Hey guys! I'm back with the second part of my Sephora Haul, if you haven't seen the first then you can have a peak at that here. I will be reviewing most of these products in upcoming posts so please let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see, for know I am just going to be showing you what I picked up and also my first impressions.

Make-up Forever HD Foundation - This foundation was on my 'need to buy list' I had been wanting to try it for ages as I have heard lots of good things. The HD stands for High Definition, it is basically a foundation that is meant to look undetectable even in HD images. I have seen a lot of Make-up artists use this foundation as well. I got mine in the shade 'N123', one of the good things about this product is the big shade range, so you wont have trouble finding a shade for you. I have tried this foundation a few times now and so far I am really liking it. The finish is very natural, it isn't matte but it isn's dewy either instead it sits somewhere in between which I would describe as a natural skin-like finish. One thing that I like about this foundation is that you can not see it on the skin! even when I have looking in a magnifying mirror I can not see foundation sitting on top of the skin which is great!

Anastasia Brow Duo Powder 'Medium Ash/Medium Brown' - Again this was on my list of products to buy along with the Brow Wiz pencil that I showed in my last post. I have the shade 'Medium Ash/Medium Brown' It comes in a cute little black and rose gold compact with a mirror. You get two shades, one lighter shade and one darker shade. I have been using this ever since I got it along with the Brow Wiz and it is amazing! It makes it so easy to get perfect brows... for all you brow lovers like myself, this product is a must try!

Buxom Full On Lip Polish 'Amber' - I love this lipgloss, it is one of those plumping lipglosses but the difference is I feel like this one actually works as apposed to others that I have tried. I am not a big fan of plumping glosses as I am do not like the feeling of them but this one doesn't bother me, it does tingle but just the right about, I actually like how it feels. I have the shade Amber which is a gorgeous peachy shade with gold shimmer.

Clinique Airbrush Concealer 'Neutral fair' - I have tried this concealer a few times now and I really like it for under my eyes and also to highlight the centre of my face as I got it a few shades lighter than my skin tone. It is a liquid creamy consistency that blends in easily and looks natural with light to medium coverage.

The last couple of bits were free samples. The Living Proof Primer - I actually got a sample of this with my first Sephora order and I also had a sample that I took to Florida with me. I used it all holiday and loved it. It is a primer for your hair which you apply on wet hair before styling or you can just leave it to air dry. It leaves my hair feeling really soft, more easy to manage, less frizz and it also helped to keep my style in for longer. My curls always fall out really quickly or when I straighten my hair it usually gets wavy throughout the day, but with this my curls lasted for much longer even in the humid, hot Florida weather. The second sample was the Becca Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfecter - I haven't used this yet I tried a bit on my hand and it is very mattfying, I don't have oily skin so i felt like this would dry my skin out, if you do have very oily skin though i think this product is worth checking out as it is very mattyfying.

Let me know if you have tried any of these products, what do you think?

Sephora Haul: Part 1

Hey lovelies, it feels like forever since I last posted! I got back from Florida just over a week ago now, I went on holiday with my boyfriend and family and it was amazing! It was my second time over there and I loved it! We went to lots of parks, the Universal ones and Seaworld were some of my favourites! We ate lots of food! (oops) and did a fair bit of shopping! Of course I headed straight for Sephora, I actually went to Sephora on two different occasions so expect another Sephora haul soon! But for now I'll get straight onto the bits I picked up first...
Sephora Haul
Sephora Haul
Make-Up Forever HD Powder  - I picked this up by the cash registers, you know that bit that has all the mini sizes! This wasn't on my list of things to try but I saw it in a small size for $16 and I decided to give it a try. It is a very finely milled loose powder, I haven't got round to trying this yet but I'm hoping it will be good.

Beauty Blender - I already have a beauty blender and have already expressed my love for it! So if you want to know more read that review here. As I love it so much I decided to pick up a back up.

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer - I got this in the smaller size as it is rather pricey so I thought I would see if I like it first. I have tried this once when I was on holiday and it is lovely, it made my skin feel quite matte but super soft! I don't have oily skin but I can still use this as I don't find it too mattyfying and it doesnt make my skin feel dry. It just makes a velvety soft base for make-up, I need to try it out a bit more before I can say if it makes make-up last longer... but so far so good.

Josie Maron Argan Oil - This is another repurchase for me, I picked up the small size when I went to New York last year and I love it! So I picked up the larger size this time. I use it mainly as a face oil and on my hair to hydrate. I usually apply to my face at night and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated!

Anastasia Clear Brow Gel - I haven't tried this yet but I needed a brow gel so I picked this one up, I'll let you know what I think when I've tried it out.

Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner - I am a fan of sulphate free shampoos as find they are much better for my hair, sulphates I find can be very drying. This is a sulphate free shampoo/conditioner, i had never tried anything like this before so i was interested to see what it was like. As it is a cleansing conditioner, you dont use a conditioner with it, you just use this one step. I have tried it twice now and so far i like it, it makes my hair soft but my hair has been more tangly lately and i'm not sure if it's down to this.

Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil 'Brunette' - I have been wanting to get my hands on this for a while now, I've heard great things about Anastasia brow products and this definelty lives up to the hype. I was using the Mac eyebrow pencil before but I much prefer the Anastasia one. I wont go to much into detail as I will be reviewing it on my blog soon but I love it! If don't live near a Sephora, you can purchase Anastasia Brow Wiz on

I also got a 'Birthday Gift' as I am a Sephora VIB member, which included mini sizes of Benefits They're Real Mascara which I have tried before, I like it but it isn't my favourite and lastly Benefits Watts up highlighter which is a nice creamy champagne highlight.

So thats everything I picked up on my trip to Sephora, I will be reviewing lots of these products individully so look out for that and also let me know if there are any particular products you would like to see a review on? I will be posting the second part of my Sephora haul next so keep a look out for that too!

Seascape Body Wash & Body Lotion Review

Hey guys! Today I am going to be reviewing the Seascape Uplift Body Wash* and the Les Petits Body Lotion*, I have been using them both for a couple of weeks now and I have been really enjoying using them. The body wash is in the Uplift range which contains natural essential oils of jersey Eucalyptus, Lime to energise and Lavender to refresh the senses. I can really smell the lavender in this, I don't love the scent but if you like lavender then you will like it. It lathers up nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry like some shower gels can do. The les petits Body Lotion is gentle and suitable for sensitive skin and is free from paraben, silicon, petroleum and sulphates, it contains natural essential oils of lavender and Chamomile to sooth and calm, Shea butter and olive oil to moisturise and jersey beeswax to lock in the moisture. What i have been liking about this body lotion is that it is very light but also moisturising, it sinks into the skin quickly so you don't have that greasy sticky feeling, it has made my skin really soft, I also love the packaging and that fact that it comes with a pump as it makes it really quick to use.

Over all I like both of these products, the only thing I don't love is the scent but that's personal preference, if you love lavender scents then I think these are definitely worth a look at. the body wash is really nice as its not harsh and leaves your skin feeling soft and the body lotion really moisturises the skin but sinks in quickly.

Boots Haul! ft Bourjois, L'Oreal, Avene, Hydraluron

So I went shopping yesterday and of course made a b-line straight for Boots, as you do! I didn't have anything in mind that I 'needed' to get but as I'm sure most of you beauty lovers know... Boots baskets can quite easily fill up even when you just pop in for 'essentials' which I did do. I picked up a few essentials like cotton buds, nail polish remover, etc... but then I also picked up some beauty products I didn't necessarily need, but you know how it is!
L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - £4.99
As I was browsing the aisles of boots, I saw the L'Oreal 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution, I had seen this on a few blogs and ogled at it before, but never actually made a purchase. If you have ever tried Bioderma before or similar products, which I'm sure you have! This is the same type of thing - a water based, oil solution that removes make-up, but it is lot more easily acessible in the UK and cheaper too at just £4.99 for 200ml! I love Bioderma for removing my make-up before I do a deep cleanse, so I'm hoping I will love this too! It is currently on offer in Boots for £3.33.

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon 'Orange Punch', 'Peach On The Beach' - £7.99
A little heads up - Bourjois are on 3 for 2 at the moment in Boots. I picked up two of their Colour Boost Lip Crayons, Orange Punch which is a true orange, and Peach On The Beach which is a peachy pink. These felt really nice when swatched on my hand, they have a decent colour pay off and seemed very moisturising. They are also supposed to be 10 hour wear and have SPF 15. I'm looking forward to trying these out!

Bourjois Bronzing Primer - £9.99
I'm really looking forward to trying this out as well, I swatched it on my hand and it feels very smooth and blended in easily. It is a cream bronzer that you are supposed to apply underneath your foundation. I have the Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronze Universal, which is another cream bronzer but obviously a lot more expensive so I'm looking forward to seeing how the Bourjois one compares.

Hydraluron Moisture Booster - £24.99
I have been waiting to try this for ages, it's not cheap but it was on offer at Boots for £16.66 (offer is still on!) so I added it to my basket! I won't go to much into it but it is a serum that you apply underneath your moisturiser, it contains hyralunic acid which helps to boost moisture levels in the skin. I have dehydrated skin so I can't wait to try this!

L'oreal Ever Riche No Sulphates Shampoo and Conditioner - £5.99 each
As you may know if you have read my haircare routine post (link) I like sulphate free shampoos and conditoners, so when I saw these new ones from L'oreal I thought I would try them out. I got the ones for dry fine hair, I'm not in love with the smell but it's ok. I haven't tried them yet but i'll let you know what I think. These shampoos and conditioners are currently on offer for 2 for £9.

Avene Thermal Spring Water
I picked this up as I am going to florida soon, I thought I would take it with me to spray to cool me down, it's just water in a can basically.

So thats everything I got, let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you think? I will be reviewing them when I have tried them out so keep an eye out for that!

July Favourites!

Hey guys! I hope you all had a good July! July was a good month for me as it was my birthday! And not to mention the amazing weather we have been having in England for once! I can't believe it's August already, I'm not excited about summer coming to an end! But I am off to Florida this month so I'm really looking forward to that! As July has been and gone though I thought i would do a monthly favourites, so here is what I've been loving this month.july beauty favourites
Mac harmony blush
Mac Painterly Paint Pot
Revlon super lustrous lipgloss kiss me coral

Revlon Super lustrous lipgloss
Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish 'Hip Hop' - I have been loving this nail polish by Rimmel, the colour is gorgeous and perfect for summer. The formula is amazing and so long- lasting, such great quality and so affordable! I have already blogged about this shade along with 'Summer Orange' so I will link that here if you want to see swatches.

Josie Maran Argan Oil - This stuff is amazing! It is just pure organic argon oil, no other ingredients. You can use it on your body, hair, skin, cuticles, you name it! I love it mainly for skincare purposes though, I apply at night at the end of my skincare routine and in the morning my face is unbelievably soft and hydrated! love love love! Unfortunately you cannot purchase Josie Maran in the UK as far as I'm aware, this is just the small bottle that I picked up in New York, but I will be purchasing the full size when I go back to the States.

Mac 'Harmony' Blush - I have blogged about this recently so I wont go into much detail, you can read the post here. But i have been loving it this month and it deserves a place in my favourites! Great mid-tone brown shade with a pinky undertone that is perfect for contouring.

Victoria Secret 'Pure Seduction' body lotion - I love the scent of this, it is 'red plum and fresia' just amazing fruity scent, very strong smelling which I like, but if your not a fan of strong scented body lotion this isn't for you. i love it though, it also absorbs nicely and doesn't leave me feeling greasy which is something I can't stand when it comes to body moisturisers. It's not the most moisturising but does a good enough job, but i mainly love it for the scent!

Mac 'Painterly' Paint Pot - I love Mac paint pots in general, this one is a skin-toned shade with a pink undertone, so it doesn't provide any colour to my lids, but it makes a great base for any eye shadow look or even applied on it's own just to even out the lids and brighten things up, and stop creasing which is how I've been wearing it.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss 'Kiss Me Coral' - This shade is a gorgeous coral, I've been loving it! The formula is also really good and not sticky.

Clarins liquid Bronze Self Tanning - Another product I have already blogged about so I'll link here if you want to read more, but it's amazing! I apply at night time after my skincare routine and it gives a lovely tanned glow in the morning, it is gradual so the first application it's quite subtle but can be built up.

So there a few product's I've been loving this month, let me know if you have tried any of these and what you think?

MAC 'Harmony' Blush | Review & Swatches

Photo of Mac Harmony BlushPhoto of Mac Harmony Blush
a photo of swatches of mac harmony blush
Left - unblended swatch, Right - blended swatch

I love Mac as a brand but it's one of those brands that I go through fazes of always buying their products then not purchasing anything for a few months! I haven't purchased anything from Mac for a while but for my birthday I received this Mac blush in 'Harmony' as one of my presents from my boyfriend. It had been on my list of products I want to try. Mac describe it as a 'muted rose-beige brown', it is a blush but I mainly wanted to use this for contouring as it is a warm brown shade, but no orange tint to it which a lot of bronzers tend to have and it's also matte.

I've been really loving this blush (as a bronzer), you can use this shade as a blush but on my skin tone it works best as a bronzer. The main thing I love about this blush is how easily it blends, I often find with a lot of bronzers I've tried they aren't the easiest to blend and can apply patchy, Mac's Harmony blends in beautifully and easily, and as it is a pink based brown rather than orange based you don't have to worry about looking orange. It is nicely pigmented and has a soft finely milled texture. Overall I love this blush for contouring and bronzing up the skin, I'd even go as far to say that this could be one of my favourite contouring products?!

Let me know if you have tried this blush and what you think?

The Balm - Mary-Lou Manizer & Bahama Mama Bronzer

Hey Lovelies! Today I am going to be reviewing the Mary-Lou Manizer and the Bahama Mama bronzer from The Balm. These two products have been on my wish list for a while, I have heard lots of good things about them on the bloggesphere so i couldn't wait to get my hands on them!
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Bahama Mama Bronzer
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Bahama Mama Bronzer Review

First up the Mary-Lou Manizer, now I love highlighters and this one is a beauty! It's a champagne/golden shade with fine shimmer and a gorgeous sheen. You only need to dab the brush into the product as it is super pigmented! Out of all of the highlighters I own this is the most intense so its perfect if your looking for a really glowy look! It also looks gorgeous as an eyeshadow, or on the inner corner to highlight.

Next up is the Bahama Mama Bronzer, as you can see it is quite a dark bronzer, it is neutral toned brown shade so not overly orange or cool-toned, but somewhere in the middle. It is supposed to be matte but I can see very slight shimmer when I look at in the light but on the skin this doesn't translate so it works great for contouring. It isn't crazy pigmented, it can be applied quites sheer or built up and it's  finely milled so blends in beautifully.

Overall I'm really impressed with both of these products and would really recommend them, I purchased mine from Feelunique, (type summerstyle at checkout to receive 10% when buying two or more products - valid 31st July)
