My Current Haircare Routine!

my current haircare routine
Hi lovelies! Today I am going to be sharing with you my current haircare routine. I get my hair bleached and use heat on it most days so it's very important for me that I look after  my hair and keep it as healthy as it possibly can be. So here are the products I am currently using...

I usually wash my hair every 2-3 days, as it's not great to wash your hair everyday - obviously if your hair gets very greasy and you need to wash it everyday that's fine, I would just say to pro-long the time between washing as much as you can. For shampoo  I have been using Phytovolume shampoo, shampoo and conditioner is something I switch up quite often so these are just what I'm using at the moment. I have tried a few Phyto shampoo's and I really like them, this one gives my hair a nice bit of volume without drying it out. It is also sulphate free, I like sulphate free shampoos as I find they are much gentler on my hair, I used to always get a dry scalp but since using sulphate free shampoos my scalp has been fine. Because it doesn't contain sulphates though it is quite runny so you need to go careful when pouring it out as it can go everywhere and it doesn't foam like a sulphate shampoo would, but does still have a decent amount of lather to it.

For conditioner I am currently using KMS Moisture Repair - I bought this as I said I like to switch up conditioners so my hair doesn't get used to it, but I don't think I will be repurchasing this again as I'm not that keen on it, I feel like it doesn't moisturise my hair enough. I sometimes use a treatment as my conditioner, one I love is the Joico K Pak Intense Hydrator, I really recommend this if you have damaged hair especially if you bleach your hair as is a protein treatment. I'm not using it at the moment as I was using it for a while and you don't want to use to much protein on your hair as it can make your hair become brittle. But if used in moderation it is great for your hair!

Now onto leave-in treatments/detangling sprays, after I have washed my hair I always tend to apply some sort of leave in product, I have a few which I alternate between. Firstly the Unite 7 Seconds Conditioner Leave In Detangler - this smells amazing! I won't go into it to much as I have reviewed it before (here) but it really helps detangle my hair and also has a UV and thermal protector. Another product quite similar is the it's a 10 miracle leave-in product - this is thicker in constancy though, I like to use this to help detangle my hair and add some extra moisture and it also contains a thermal protector, I will alternate between this and the Unite one. Another leave-in product is Redken Extreme anti-snap leave in treatment - which contains protein and helps protect against split ends and also provides heat protection. I don't use this all the time as it contains protein and as I said protein is good for hair but if used to much it can cause hair to become brittle, so I just tend to use this for a while then have a little break when I feel like my hair needs it usually after a few weeks. I apply one pump through my ends of my hair and a little bit through the lengths. Lastly it's Phyto Secret De Nuit - which is a hydrating regenerating night treatment, I use this if my hair is feeling dry and I want to give it some extra moisture, it is quite expensive and I don't think it's worth the price but it is a nice product.

For pre-shampoo treatments, I love coconut oil, this one I got from Holland and Barrett but you can find coconut oil in supermarkets. I went for this one as i knew it was cold-pressed and organic, cold-pressed is better as it contains more of the nutrients. I have already wrote about coconut oil for your hair so I will link that if you want to know more (Link) But i definitely recommend it, as it is very moisturising.

Lastly I use Schwarzkopf guardian angel heat protectant spray before I use heat on my hair, and I also thought I'd mention the Tangle Teezer as I always use it!

So that is my current haircare routine, I'd love to know what your favourite haircare products are?

The Perfect Concealer? Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
Hi Lovelies! Let me start off by apologising for my lack of blogging lately, my laptop broke and so I had no way of blogging, but now I'm back so, yay! Now lets get on to the good stuff, I purchased the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer a while back now and have been wanting to share it with you all ever since! I have the shade 'Custard', I decided to try it as I had heard great things and I'm always on a quest to find the perfect concealer!

When I first tried this I was instantly wowed, it is creamy but has very decent coverage (medium to full) I got this mainly for underneath my eyes which is something Ive always struggled with finding the perfect concealer for, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage is great for blemishes (link to review) but as for under eyes I've always been left disappointed with concealers as they are all either too drying, too creamy, don't provide  enough coverage, or are to cakey under the eyes! Until a few weeks ago when I discovered Nars Radiant creamy concealer! It is definitely the best concealer I have found for underneath my eyes, it's perfect to use on blemishes and any imperfections as well but I love it for under my eyes, as it has medium to full coverage and covers my dark circles perfectly without looking cakey or heavy, it is creamy but not too creamy or drying, it gives a lovely skin-like natural finish - so not matte looking or dewy just somewhere in between and it lasts all day! I had heard that it doesn't crease at all either which was another reason I wanted to try it, I have noticed a little bit of creasing though but after setting it with some powder it's fine!

Overall I love this concealer! It's the best one I have found yet and is perfect for under my eyes, I find a lot of concealers targeted towards the under eye area don't have enough coverage for me, but this one does and it still looks natural and not heavy. The slight bit of creasing is the only bad thing I can say about this concealer but that doesn't bother me as its only slight. If you are looking for a new concealer then I would really recommend giving this one a try!

You can purchase Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer from SpaceNK (Link)
