MAC 'Harmony' Blush | Review & Swatches

I love Mac as a brand but it's one of those brands that I go through fazes of always buying their products then not purchasing anything for a few months! I haven't purchased anything from Mac for a while but for my birthday I received this Mac blush in 'Harmony' as one of my presents from my boyfriend. It had been on my list of products I want to try. Mac describe it as a 'muted rose-beige brown', it is a blush but I mainly wanted to use this for contouring as it is a warm brown shade, but no orange tint to it which a lot of bronzers tend to have and it's also matte.

I've been really loving this blush (as a bronzer), you can use this shade as a blush but on my skin tone it works best as a bronzer. The main thing I love about this blush is how easily it blends, I often find with a lot of bronzers I've tried they aren't the easiest to blend and can apply patchy, Mac's Harmony blends in beautifully and easily, and as it is a pink based brown rather than orange based you don't have to worry about looking orange. It is nicely pigmented and has a soft finely milled texture. Overall I love this blush for contouring and bronzing up the skin, I'd even go as far to say that this could be one of my favourite contouring products?!

Let me know if you have tried this blush and what you think?

The Balm - Mary-Lou Manizer & Bahama Mama Bronzer

Hey Lovelies! Today I am going to be reviewing the Mary-Lou Manizer and the Bahama Mama bronzer from The Balm. These two products have been on my wish list for a while, I have heard lots of good things about them on the bloggesphere so i couldn't wait to get my hands on them!
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Bahama Mama Bronzer
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Bahama Mama Bronzer Review

First up the Mary-Lou Manizer, now I love highlighters and this one is a beauty! It's a champagne/golden shade with fine shimmer and a gorgeous sheen. You only need to dab the brush into the product as it is super pigmented! Out of all of the highlighters I own this is the most intense so its perfect if your looking for a really glowy look! It also looks gorgeous as an eyeshadow, or on the inner corner to highlight.

Next up is the Bahama Mama Bronzer, as you can see it is quite a dark bronzer, it is neutral toned brown shade so not overly orange or cool-toned, but somewhere in the middle. It is supposed to be matte but I can see very slight shimmer when I look at in the light but on the skin this doesn't translate so it works great for contouring. It isn't crazy pigmented, it can be applied quites sheer or built up and it's  finely milled so blends in beautifully.

Overall I'm really impressed with both of these products and would really recommend them, I purchased mine from Feelunique, (type summerstyle at checkout to receive 10% when buying two or more products - valid 31st July)

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polishes | Hip Hop & Summer Orange

Rimmel salon Pro Nail Polishes
Rimmel Hip Hop

It's not often that I get really excited about a new nail polish collection, but when I saw this new Salon Pro collection by Rimmel I couldn't wait to get my hands on a couple of shades as I think Rimmel do nail polishes very well and they are really affordable. So off i popped to Boots to pick up two shades that caught my eye the most. Hip Hop - is a red/coral, in some lights this shade looks more of an orange red and in others more pink, it is a gorgeous shade and one that I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of. Next up is an equally gorgeous shade, Summer Orange - the name says it all really, a true bright orange shade!

They have a gel-like formula which dry quickly with a shiny finish, they have a wide brush which I find makes application easier and they are also quite opaque, I applied two coats for each of these polishes. I've heard that these nail polishes last really long on the nails, this is my first time trying them so I can't comment on that but so far I'm very impressed, and if they last as long on the nails as people say they do then I think these are a great all round nail polish.

Let me know if you have tried any of these nail polishes? What are your favourite shades from the Rimmel Salon Pro Collection collection?

They are £4.49 and are currently on 'buy one get one half price' in Boots.

A Summer Essential - Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning

I like to have a glow all year round but especially when it comes to summertime! Although I can't always achieve this naturally due to me being a big believer in protecting your skin from the sun, usually opting for SPF30 during the summer on my face and a SPF 15 on my body - this leaves my face a lot paler than my body especially as I exfoliate my face more regularly. So that's where a facial self tanner comes in, I've always liked fake tan for my body but never liked any for my face as they would either smell really bad (we all know that 'biscuit' smell),  be very patchy, or clog my pores. But Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning demolishes all those pesky issues, and blows all the other facial tanners out of the water! It is a perfect facial tanner in my opinion, I always know when I really love a product as I am not on the look out for anything better instead I am very content with Clarins Liquid Bronze.

Everything I want from a facial tanner, this one gives... first off it smells lovely, no hint of that fake tan smell in a sniffing distance! It is also very light, absorbs nicely and doesn't leave my face feeling sticky what so ever and doesn't clog my pores. I apply a small amount onto a cotton pad and wipe over my face and neck at night after my nighttime skincare routine. It is a gradual self tanner so after first application it gives a subtle glow, after a few nights of applying this the tan intensifies to a nice bronzed tan. I love how you don't have to be overly careful with this as its so easy to apply. I first tried this facial tanner last summer and have been loving it ever since, it makes those bare face times a lot nicer and not so scary, I find my skin always looks a lot better with a tan and any imperfections are a lot less noticeable. I used this before my trip to New York last Christmas and I took my make-up off on the plane, which was something I was not looking forward to doing as I feel self conscious without make-up on. But with the help of Clarins Liquid Bronze I was surprisingly not bothered about being bare faced in front of people, as being make-up free wasn't that drastic of a change because I still had a nice glowing, bronzed completion. So if your after a facial tanner, I couldn't recommend this one enough!

Let me know if you have tried the Clarins Liquid bronze, what do you think?
